The title is "How to Upcycle Your BROKEN Mobile Phone Parts into Survival Tools". So if your phone is broken it is still useful. Good tips here. Not everyone is a survivalist.

Or, use the phone to call for help. If the phone has any juice in the battery, preserve it until you find a signal.

It might as well be used for something. If an EMP hits it will not work anyway.
